Jung and the Mysteries of Wordless Transmission

Niān huá wéi xiào – pick up flower, subtle smile

Vernal Equinox March 20, 2020

As I lay in bed, immersed in some dream I can’t recall, my cat stirred me from my dream, while shaking his head intensely, ringing the bell on his collar. The sound and shaking effect, shuffled my dreams like a deck of cards. Each card flipping by was a thin reality of other dreams. I landed in a dream in black and white, where an old man wearing speckles held out a colorful bright pink origami lotus flower in his palm, while looking at me directly and smiling. – Dream ending.

A  lot of energy was held in that small bright pink lotus. I paused to feel the heightened crisp energy in the dream space between black and white, past and present, and the colorful seed of awakening I was being offered.

It was held in the hand of Carl Jung. I felt he was offering a symbol from the collective unconsciousness about spiritual unfoldment, synchronicity, dreams, and multidimensional reality. I woke up immediately to record my dream in a dream journaling app on my phone. But instead of writing my dream down immediately, as I would normally, I found myself scrolling through previous dream reports.

I landed on a previous dream I had recorded about Carl Jung and Synchronicity. There’s that dream shuffle again. I was amazed when I found it, because it was as if I was looking for it unconsciously. I could feel the energy of the lotus from my dream, now surrounding me in my physical space, in the form of synchronicity.  I knew I was being sent an important message.

Dream Lecture and Synchronicity News – March 8, 2020

I pull out a newspaper from the trash can, and it has a long article about synchronicity on the front page. The headline is in large bold letters, but very long sentences. I take the paper over to a group of women meeting in a building of a co-working space. I have a book on dreams by Carl Jung in one hand, and a newspaper article on synchronicity in the other. I join their meeting and begin talking about the topic of dreams and synchronicity. I do so by example of finding this newspaper article on synchronicity in the bathroom trash, right before coming to give this lecture on dreams. – Dream ending.

In the potent energy held in the Archetype, Jung reaches across time and space to send me messages in dreams and synchronicity. This is a fascinating study in consciousness. The Pink Lotus itself is an archetype associated with the Buddha and nirvana. In some Buddhist traditions paper lotus flowers are created and burned as ancestral offerings or for those who have crossed over, or as a kind of spiritual currency, offering appreciation for blessings, and invoking good fortune of prosperity and health (Shih-Mou).

Zen Buddhism is rooted in the wordless transmission of the Flower Sermon, where the Buddha holds up a Lotus Flower with a smile, and is received by a smile from Mahakashyapa, who then becomes his entrusted successor (Dumoulin, pg. 9).

Jung writes, “One day the Buddha silently held up a flower before the assembled throng of his disciples. This was the famous “Flower Sermon.” Formally speaking, much the same thing happened in Eleusis when a mown ear of grain was silently shown. Even if our interpretation of this symbol is erroneous, the fact remains that a mown ear was shown in the course of the mysteries and that this kind of “wordless sermon” was the sole form of instruction in Eleusis which we may assume with certainty” (Jung, Kereny, pg. 179).

Now this connection comes with the arrival of my dream on the Vernal Equinox, a time when the Elysian Lesser Mysteries took place, in preparation for the Greater Mysteries in the Fall, as referenced by Jung in the image of harvested grain. As the fates would have it, I did take part in journeying into the Lesser Elysian Mysteries, weeks after having this dream, when I participated in an online class series by Robert Moss on Shamanic Dreaming with the Goddess.

In my journey, it is revealed that as Demeter the Mother, I enter the underworld in search for Kore. I present her with a white flower.

Dreams are a path of direct experience, and wordless transmission, through the potency of archetypal energies. Synchronicity is the transmission of messages from the world behind the world, which may include written words, or words of speech overhead, or a song that comes on the radio, or a dream image showing up in waking life, accompanied by a larger energy of recognition that may feel other worldly. The mysteries of the collective unconscious are a place we frequent in dreams. In my dream, Carl Jung presented this to me as a pink paper lotus and a smile.

Extrasensory Dreaming

Discovering your Super Powers in Dreams, is one of the most alluring and memorable aspects of dreaming for most of us, beginning in our childhood dreams. We learn we can fly in dreams, and travel to places near and far, in this world and the next. A place where the multiverse awaits exploration. Children are excellent dreamers, because they remember how to fly.

My childhood dream memories have eluded me for most of my life, due to repressed trauma from growing up in an environment of domestic violence and sexual abuse. I only began recalling most of my dreams after I had a pre-cognitive dream which saved my life, when I was in my mid 20’s. Something woke up inside of me from that experience, confirming something my soul already knew, that my life has meaning, and my dreams were there to protect and guide me.

One of the most important elements of dreaming, is the ability we have to dream the future, not only as individuals, but also collectively. This is of key importance in the times we now face, where dark dreams prevail and the profound challenges of global warming are revealed each day. We are truly in this together, and it is in dreams, where we may find the answers to life’s most challenging situations. The key is to have the courage to look into our deepest and darkest places, the creative impulse to soar into our brightest dreams, the discipline to remember and record dreams, the impulse to share them with others, and the inspiration to act on what we find inside.

Active Dreaming gives us tools to learn how to become a conscious dreamer and co-creator in our world, not only for our own life, in this time, but on behalf of others, in other times. We visit the ancestors and practice transgenerational healing and collective soul recovery, by recovering lost wisdom and bringing forth more soul energy into the world.

As adults, we may have left our imaginations and dreams in childhood, as a requirement of growing up. When we do so, we leave behind a vital part of our soul connection, where knowledge of our true nature can be found. Reclaiming the gifts of soul, in connection with our lost dreams of childhood, can provide profound levels of healing and the return of passion, wonder and awe that children experience in a very natural way.

Children also dream with the animal powers, and studies have shown they dream of animals 70% of the time. This connection to animals is important in developing our instinctual nature, that gives us a felt sense of what is safe or not, in our relationships and in our environment. It helps us become skilled at being guided by intuition, and share in some of the specialized skills the animal powers bring forth to help us navigate the waking and dreaming worlds, which are not mutually exclusive, one need not be asleep, to find yourself dreaming!

The powers of intuition with glimpses of possible futures, arrive in dreams as naturally as the dawning of each day, or the approaching twilight of night. The thresholds of day and night, are designed as places where one may experience the opening of one reality into another. A liminal space one can enter consciously, to experience dreaming as a place, where psychic information is readily available. It is a place one can enter, and be coaxed into a conscious dream for the duration of the night.

Event Horizon

That moment when you realize you are dreaming, and positioned on the Event Horizon of a Black Hole. You look down below, and see a mirror reflection of yourself laying on the Event Horizon of another Black Hole in another dimension….

It is then you begin to wonder about the mysteries of the universe, and realize your dreaming self is absolutely comfortable hanging out there, and not only that, seems to know a lot about cosmic realities.

Black Holes, Event Horizons and Holograms – October 2017

In my dream, I am hovering on the event horizon of a black hole. I was given the task by my higher self, to keep the energy balanced in this world, and the other world. The vantage point from where I was stationed, allowed me to see another mirror image of myself hovering below, positioned in the exact same way on the event horizon of a black hole.  I was watching the fabric of time and space being pulled into the gravitational force of the black hole. I was now trying to make sure that not too much light would slip through the portal, and it was a very gentle process. I was even talking to the expanse of time and space in a whisper saying, no not yet….and pushing the stars back away from entering the portal, and it was like smoothing out the wrinkles on a bed spread. I stayed focused on this endeavor in my dream for what seemed like an eternity, and yet only a moment.

This dream spurred me to research black holes and I learned that in April of 2017, scientists explored a black hole in the center of our galaxy through a global network of telescopes called the Event Horizon Telescope. The first images of a black hole were processed in 2019.  The Event Horizon Telescope, a planet-scale array of eight ground-based radio telescopes forged through international collaboration, captured this image of the supermassive black hole in the center of the galaxy M87 and its shadow.

black-hole

In my further research, I came across a theory of consciousness and black holes, which described the mind as a state of universal consciousness, which is connected with the brain, but exists outside of it in another dimension. This universal matrix of collective consciousness could perhaps explain awareness such as intuition and precognition events, as well as dreams and synchronicity. The event horizon is known as a point of no return, but according to Stephen Hawking, “The information is not stored in the interior of the black hole as one might expect, but in its boundary — the event horizon”.

“Wormhole” by Hypnoart

Perhaps this model, describes a boundary of consciousness where access to the collective matrix can be projected like a hologram or perhaps a dream. This hologram projection was possibly reflected in my dream, where I saw another mirror image of myself on the event horizon of another black hole, which could have been a hologram or a doppelganger in an alternate dimension.

Multi-Dimensional Wheel 9-9-17

A profound awareness came over me while stepping through a doorway inside a recent dream. I saw myself connected like one of eight legs of an octopus. Each leg was connected to another dreaming self, stepping through a doorway. I was conscious at that moment, of being connected to eight dimensions or parallel realities of my dreaming self. I then saw this reflected again in the dream as the Eight fold path of Buddhism, turning like an immense wheel in the sky. The path of Dharma, leading to liberation and nirvana. The meaning of the Sanskrit word nirvana, is “blown out” like a candle, or perhaps mind blown.

This dream brings to mind another dream from a few years ago.

Time Traveling Hitch Hiker – 2013

In my dream, I am driving my SUV on a wet road and slowing down, I’m cautious not to hit the car next to me as I take a curvy, slippery, stretch of road.  Suddenly, a man appears in my passenger seat and he is asleep. I find I no longer have control over my car, the gas pedal no longer works, and so I take my foot off the pedal and let go of the steering wheel.  An invisible force takes over as we enter warp speed to arrive at a cosmic time travel terminal hovering in space, appearing in the shape of a giant octopus. Inside the terminal, there are signs directing one to various portals through which one may travel to certain time destinations. Each leg of the octopus was a wormhole portal to travel through time.

The Octopus could indeed be considered alien, compared with human evolution. They only share a common ancestor with us reaching back beyond the dinosaurs. They developed from there on a completely separate path and quite differently than invertebrates, “Octopuses have not even collected the majority of their neurons inside their brains; most of the neurons are in their arms” (Godrey-Smith 2017). They may have whole body intelligence and each limb could contain its own separate conscious awareness, while connected with the central hub of the brain.

The Octopus presents an intriguing model for how I am connected to parallel lives or alternate dimensions and even a model of the cosmic time traveling station presents a possible model for how we can time travel collectively to visit other dimensions. Active Dreaming provides the tools needed for individual dream re-entry or collective group dream journeys to consciously explore the multiverse.

The shape shifting Octopus seems a perfect image for an ancient intelligence carrying the wisdom of how to stretch our consciousness to enter other worlds through dimensional time travel with tentacles reaching out in all directions. A consciousness that is whole unto itself, a wreckage of the past and passage to a possible future, where perhaps time travel is the norm.

Dream Shifting

The energies we are shifting through during this time of the Lion’s gate are amazing and intense and have me exploring many stellar dimensions of dreaming.

Moon Gates

In a dream leading up to the Lions Gate Lunar Eclipse, I was practicing going through the moon gate and going back through, and when I did, I found myself aware of another lunar dimension and I could see both simultaneously. These kind of experiences do not translate well to the page, but needless to say, I was beside myself realizing, I had not only traveled through the moon gate, but also found the appearance of a moon gate to a parallel dimension.

Pluto Wedding Ceremony

Vetruvian Woman

I am part of a secret ceremony of the sacred marriage. I stand with my legs and arms stretched open to the position of Leonardo’s Vitruvian Man. I am to become the Bride of the Planet Pluto in a Sacred Wedding Ceremony.

I can see a community of people dressed in dark purple robes, who watch remotely, observing the ceremony. The invisible presence from Pluto draws an invisible line from head to foot in the design of the pentacle or star across my outstretched arms and legs and I become aligned energetically with the Planet Pluto.

The sacred wedding is complete.

Dream Shift

The Film “Inception” by Warner Bros.

I am dreaming of a dimensional shift, where a dimension is visited inside another dream I am having. A familiar man with blonde hair says the keyword “Balance” which sets in motion what is referred to in my dream as, “dream shift”  and portrayed much like in the film “Inception”.  There were moments of time speeding up and a feeling of density in the dream and being pushed downward, while at the same time traveling horizontally to create a shifting sensation. It was also very noisy, like the foundation of my building was coming apart or being crushed in physical reality. My partner laying next to me in bed, wakes up and says he heard someone knocking at the door downstairs and got up to answer it, but there was no one there. I was aware of all that was going on in physical reality, while also being in the dream where another dimension was loudly shifting into my reality, both in dreaming and waking physical reality. I was able to practice visiting my conscious attention inside my original dream and also the alternate dimension with a big smile on my face and I felt like this dream was the best ever! Apparently Dream Shifting is something I enjoy immensely!
