Second Sight Dragon King

The Celtic tradition considers a cowl covered birth as a sign of one who is gifted with second sight as a seer. A dragon king in the Celtic way would be one who is given the power to rule through the Earthly powers of the Goddess.

I kneel down before a newly born cowled face dragon, and reaching down, pull the cowl from his face. I gather the baby dragon in my arms and decide to adopt him as my own, as a mother of dragons.

I bring him home and give him a soft furry kitten to cuddle up with as a comfort companion. They cuddle up together, and sleep, but the dragon wakes.

He looks at his spikey back and tail, and his scaly skin, and then at the soft furry white kitten. Although he likes the cuddly kitten just fine, he needs to become what he is born to be. He steps over to a golden crown and circles round inside, and makes a nest inside the golden crown. This is where he belongs.

I see then a young boy of 7 or 8, with blonde hair wearing a golden crown. The baby dragon has become a Dragon Prince.

As I type this dream, I am watching Sandman on Netflix, and as I type about a dragon becoming where he belongs as King, I see a dragon enter the scene flying through the air. The Lord of Dreams, Morpheus takes the dragon back into himself, he must take on something he has created from the dream world, that has become physical in the waking world. He creates a snake and a dragon egg from the dragon powers, as a gift for the fates. The dragon egg hatches and a baby dragon is revealed.

This interweaving with the dream world and the waking world is revealed even as I type this post.

On the other side of my dreaming, I delved into researching the Dragon King, or Dragon Prince, which takes me into Slavic territory. I find a folk story of a dragon King, men and women of power who can travel into dreams and practice weather magic. They have protective powers to enter dream realms and battle for territory to protect the fields for a fortunate harvest. A Dragon King can only come from a Mother of Dragons.

The Celtic tradition considers a cowl covered birth as a sign of one who is gifted with second sight as a seer. A dragon king in the Celtic way would be one who is given the power to rule through the Earthly powers of the Goddess. “The Celtic Goddess of the Land expressed as Maeve or Mead is an example of the Dragon’s energy as fertility in Irish history. The Dragon is the life force or energy of the land that rises at Spring and rests at Autumn. “ Spirit of the Celtic Dragon – – celticdruidtemple.com

I am reminded of the story of Merlin who became seer and guide to King Arthur. The story of his becoming Merlin begins in his youth as a teenager when he is called before King Vortigern whose castle keeps falling down after being repeatedly rebuilt. The wise council tells him he must sacrifice a fatherless child to overcome his tower crumbling at the foundation over and again. This is how Merlin enters the scene, he questions the wisdom of this demand and as a seer is able to view the problem from the ground up. His vision reveals dragons underground which are causing the shifting foundation and crumbling tower. He recommends digging up the foundation to remedy the problem. “When Merlin bests the wise men and instructs them to dig below the tower, revealing a dragon’s nest, the child of Matriarchy reveals the “snakes” below the foundation of this new paradigm” (Strand, Sophie, The Flowering Wand p. 102).

“These dragons are easily connected to Tiamat, Inanna, Cybele, Lady of the Labyrinth, Eve, Medusa.”

We see in this dream, the potential of a sacred king, born with the dragon powers of vision. The ancient powers of the Goddess are bestowed upon a son of the Goddess. A sacred King to protect the land, and the people. The dragon powers are not for making war, and dragons need not be slayed, as part of a heroic male quest. The fatherless son, need not be sacrificed to the sins of the father, and countless wars, where the towers of empire crumble over and over. To heal these wounds, we must reconnect from the Earth up, and encounter the dragons sleeping underneath, who are dreaming of the birth of a Dragon King with second sight.

Last Full Moon of the Decade

On this final Full Moon of 2020, I am taking time to reflect on the dreams of the last decade and those which arrived in 2010. Here are some, and how they took root in my life.

The White Tiger and the Cave of Innocence – Summer Solstice 2010

I am in a dark cave where the light of my soul hovers above dark waters. I see a white tiger emerge from the mountain and sit beside the water looking into the darkness. The water surface is covered with what looks like oil, and a creature crawls out covered with the black tar. The tiger looks at the creature covered in oil and wants nothing to do with it. She turns her head away. The White Tiger jumps into the water, its white fur contrasting with the deep darkness is amazing to see. The tiger swims through the dark waters and reaches a place of murky astral waters where many spirits are floating. The water begins to clear as the tiger swims further out to sea and into the clear waters. She emerges on another shore with a rope in her mouth and she is pulling a boat. Inside the boat is a royal looking woman with maroon colored clothing and gold trim, and wearing a regal shaped head dress, a man sits behind her wearing dark blue clothing with gold trim. On the shore is a small girl of about 7 who runs toward the boat to meet the visitors. I am now back inside the cave again, where the black covered creature is still lying inside the cave. The White Tiger begins to wash the creature and reveals it to be the small girl seen previously running to greet us on the beach. The child lays in the arms of the white tiger as she is lovingly cleaned, nurtured and protected.

I was sent photos the next day by a teacher, revealing the two people I saw in my dream. My teacher was at a ceremony in the Altai Mountains in Kirgizstan, where many shamans had gathered from places around the globe. The woman in my dream, and in the photo was an Altai elder. She later revealed when she lit the ceremonial fire, she saw the spirit of a small girl released.

This dream confirms for me the cross cultural nature of dreams, and the ability to transcend borders and bilocate to another physical location. I have seen this occur in my dreams and shamanic journeys many times over the past decade, and continue to learn how to bring forth my healing gifts in service to others and the planet.

Bringing Up the Bones 9-11-2010

A wealthy, older white man wearing a burgundy and gold smoking jacket, will host a social gathering at his private residence. He escorts me into his office, which is in disarray. There is a beautiful old Asian desk made of antique bamboo. I am walking around in his space looking at how to organize it, and I walk over the top of the desk in my bare feet. I am wondering if he really wants this desk, he obviously is not using it, and I really like the way it feels under my bare feet. I am thinking about asking him if I can have it, although I already have a new desk. I really like this one, it is very ancient and regal. I hop down from the desk not saying anything, thinking if I am meant to have it, it will come. The wealthy owner takes me outside and we arrive at his private home. There is an Asian woman who lives there with him. She greets me, leaving the door open as we enter the house. Suddenly, there is a commotion while some kind of creature escapes through the front door. I am thinking it is a family pet like maybe a cat, but when I look more closely, I see what appears to be a bat or maybe even a phoenix. I can’t quite make it out. It moves very fast, and has such unusual energy. There are many birds flying after it that look like doves. The wealthy man and the Asian woman move quickly and immediately fly out the door after the creature.

I am left standing in the house and I walk outside to see there is a lake, and a boardwalk by the sea. I am looking at the water and am now joined by two shamanic teachers. One tells me there are bones at the bottom of the sea, and that the bones are my ancestors, and they are Buryat.  I am told this is the line of shamanism which I am connected through my ancestors. We must awaken the bones, and bring them to the surface. I can see in my minds eye the bottom of the ocean, and the sediment of salt and minerals that make up the bones of the ancestors. As we focus on raising the bones of my ancestors, I can see a white circle forming on top of the lake. Nearby huge waves are rising from the ocean. The more we focus on raising the ancestors, the more the waves become very high and come crashing down on the boardwalk. The energy I am raising is through my ancestors, and my teachers are helping me.

A week after having this dream, a Turkish friend in Istanbul sent me a photo of a white circles floating on water. They were reported being seen appearing in different places, and no one knows what they are, or why they are showing up.

When I saw her picture I almost fell out of my chair because it looked just like the circles in my dream, that were from the bones of my ancestors. I have been very focused on honoring the ancestors and working with their energy over the past decade. I am also called to assist others in reconnecting them with their ancestral gifts and lineages, and bringing forth their collective energy for wisdom and healing.

Faery Joy 11-14-2010

I dreamt of hearing strange beautiful music and seeing lovely faeries with white lilies and orchids, with yellow and orange sunlight, feeling complete joy and beauty.

The otherworld is a place like home for me, a place of joy and beauty, wisdom and healing. The good folk are my other than human relatives, and my connections there have continued to grow. I was fortunate to visit Ireland in 2018 and 2019, guided and invited by my dreams, where I met up with my Faery Kin.

Persephone Planting Her Seeds 12-20-2010

I dreamt of an encounter with the Goddess Persephone. She offered me a Pomegranate which she held in her hands and told me.  “If you never open the Pomegranate, you can not plant the seed and the tree will never grow.” She then took a single seed from the open Pomegranate and planted it from which a beautiful tree grew tall, full and strong like magic.

This dream planted many seeds for me, including continuing to grow my connections with Persephone. I began offering monthly Women’s Dreaming Groups on the Full Moon, and later facilitated biannual Women’s Retreats over the past 7 years. I went on to become involved in Women’s activism and organized several International Women’s Summits, including one in Sarajevo in 2019 with the Kolo Women’s Cross Cultural Collaboration, where I was Executive Director for 5 years. Part of our work involved trauma informed care and training, and collaborating with the MMIWTX for No More Stolen Sisters!

As this decade comes to a close and another begins to open, I will keep my dreams focused on what seeds wish to be planted at the New Moon of 2021 for the coming year and decade. I have some Moon Flower Seeds ready.

Dreaming Matters

If you have lost touch with the wisdom of your soul, or creative muse, or perhaps your inner healer, now is the perfect opportunity for you to look inside to rekindle these connections. I invite you to step through the doorway to your inner worlds, or perhaps the other world, is ready to step through you.
The key to enter is through dreams.

At a retreat I offered in 2020 of January, on Dream Healing in Hot Springs, Arkansas, I introduced participants to Rainbow Woman. She is very special to me, because she revealed herself to me over 10 years ago, when I was camping with friends, and we were hiking in the mountains. I had noticed an energetic ley line, that I had stepped through as we hiked, and it got my attention. I stopped to investigate what I felt and saw, and when I did, I saw a beautiful rainbow colored woman, made from a plasma like energy. She stepped right from the core of my being, and through my physical body. She turned around, staring me in the eyes, face to face. Her beauty, wisdom and magic astonished me. How could such a being step from within me, in such away? She then shot up the mountain in a flash of white light traveling the energetic ley lines I had seen. Later, she visited me in dreams and shared with me the 7 Rays of Healing, and asked me to share this with others. She took me into the stars, and showed me how to birth new galaxies.
Now when I return to Hot Springs on Dream Healing Retreats, I always end with a journey to connect with Rainbow Woman, and her healing energies, because she is very special to me, and she asked me to share her with others.

January 19, 2020 Healing Journey with Rainbow Woman

Finding My Way
Down into the Earth a small circle of Ancestors gather around a small fire, and Rainbow Woman appears as a maiden with her white buckskin dress and braids, dancing to the drum. The song of the Grandfather sings into the fire, as she dances. The song carries her into our world, on rainbow energy lines. She flows her rainbow energy into our circle, and she follows the rainbow to the West, where it ends, and a doorway between the realms, opens into another galaxy.

The dance continues, she invites me to follow her, the song is sung supporting this dance, this journey. We are dancing with starlight, a new galaxy, as we focus prayers of healing for the Earth. We shine rainbows on the children enslaved and in prison, afraid and abused, offering them love and healing, freedom and support.

Then we dance through another doorway of light. White light, a circle of sisterhood is dancing in a circle. I am told it is good I found my way here, and I welcomed into the circle. Only a few are ready and willing to enter into this Sacred Sisterhood. We dance visions and open the way with courage and wisdom for the women on Earth bringing change. The light is shining on each Woman, shared with each other, and for the Earth. We are birthing a new world with vision, courage and heart. Grandfather is singing our song, for this dance of beauty, strength and healing.

Last week I was invited to participate in the online Earth Sky Woman Summit held on 4/4/20. Over 1600 people signed up to participate but the space itself was limited to only 100 people. There were about a dozen presenters and the vision of it was was put forth by the courage of heart and brilliance of Tami Brunk. It was an incredibly meaningful experience to be part of seeing so many women sharing their powerful spiritual gifts, and courage of heart, and healing wisdom.

There was a discussion about Mayan healing and the Goddess Ix Chel, and it reminded me of Rainbow Woman. Ix Chel means Rainbow Woman, I began to recall my journey, and realized that it had come true in part, by being invited into this Sacred Sisterhood as a presenter, even though I did not know anyone personally. It was the journey that opened the door, and presented me with a key to healing and showing up. A powerful realization for me personally, and a deep gratitude for me being able to find my way and being welcomed into the circle.

In February, about a month prior to the pandemic storm. A dear sister and healer invited me to try her newly created float tank, and knowing my connection with dreams, she was keen to have me try it to see how it might be a helpful modality for conscious dreaming. I was also keen to try it and the liminal space created by the body floating in salt water, could provide a primal womb of dream incubation. I focused my intention in my float session on personal healing and gaining any insights that would be helpful for me at this time. I had been doing a lot of private healing sessions on individual clients, and knew the salt waters would be restorative for my energy field as well.

As I floated in the tank in a conscious dream state, that place between waking and sleeping reality, I saw images come and go, which included some helpful psychic information. Then suddenly, I dropped deeper into a dream, which opened before me from the core of my being. I was now inside a conscious dreaming reality with an African Oracle Goddess, who emerged from a mountain. Her face, her hands, and her breasts became visible. Her strong voice was heard inside my dream. She said, I have not been seen in a very long time. It is time for me to emerge. I tell her I had set the intention to work on personal work, and not focused on collective energies right now. It is personal! She snaps back! Alright then, I am paying attention! I then see a volcano next to her, with lava flowing down, and molten lava erupting from the top, as the face of the Goddess Pele is reflected in the fires of the Earth. I feel her powers of destruction and creation. Suddenly, I hear cows mooing and see them grazing in a peaceful green pasture, and then the Blue Faced Goddess Hathor descends from the Pleiades, with her nurturing and peaceful, loving energy. Finally, I see the Three Goddesses before me, a blazing fire beneath HER feet. I am human sized, standing before them, but in the body of Kali Ma, Black Mother Earth, Treasure House of Compassion, Giver of Life to the World. I run toward the sacred fire with fierce love and compassion and lunge my ceremonial knife (truth) into the Sacred Fire (Life). The Oracle Goddess says, It is done…and it is good.

A month later the pandemic arrives in full force, now we are sheltering inside, dreaming dreams, parents teaching children, cooking meals, worrying about our elders, digging in the Earth and planting gardens. Tapping into creative problem solving and innovation to keep business flowing. Listening to Spring bird songs. Death arrives while numbers grow each day. We grieve and feel the losses, we remember to appreciate life, we feel how fragile we are.
We see how truly connected we are, there is no separation.
We focus on what truly matters.

The Well of Human Kind – A Place of Remembering and Healing – Part 2

The Pool of Bethesda – A Place of Remembering and Healing

In dream archeology, we are called to dig deeper into our dreams, and into the earth itself, where layers of past cultures lay asleep and dreaming of our awakening.  In my dreaming of the Well of Human Kind, I determined the healing pool with troubled waters by the light of angels, could in fact be the place known as the Pool of Bethesda located in Jerusalem. In my research of this sacred place, I discovered it was indeed a crossroads of many layers of cultures who have used these healing pools. Many interesting correlates exist with elements of my dream and the different cultures that came to rest there.

Troubling the Waters is associated with the Jewish perspective of intervening angelic powers of healing, as was reflected in my dream previously shared in Part One of of the Well of Human Kind. Troubling the Waters is also spoken of in the bible and the pools of Bethesda are one of the locations where Jesus is reported to have performed healing miracles. The tradition of healing goes even further into the Greek and Roman Ancient traditions of Asclepians, as the healing pools were known, as well as a temple devoted to the Greek God of Healing, Asclepius and also  the Greco-Egyptian God – Serapis. This cross cultural pool of humanity is indeed the Pool of Human Kind. It was later during the Byzantine era changed toward Christian leanings, and then during the reign of the Ottoman Empire held Islamic influence where the pools are still held today in the Muslim part of Jerusalem. The Ottoman Empire gave away a part of the pools to the French Anglican Church where St. Anne Cathedral was constructed, next to the location believed to be the grotto and birthing room where the Virgin Mary was born to her Mother Anne. It is interesting to note how this relates to my dream, in that I was flown by angels to meet a woman named Anne Light, who claimed to have adopted me at age 13, and was in effect my spiritual Mother. If these correlations are followed through the dream with the ancient bees as guide along with the angelic light, it would in fact take me to the place of the goddess, and into the ancient virgin cult of the goddess. This tradition is embodied in Anne and onto her daughter Mary, but it was a much older tradition connected to the lineage of the ancient goddess.

st_anne_church_and_bethesda

This connection to St. Anne and the Birthing Room of the Virgin Mary brings me to another dream which I had this past December 12, the feast day of the Santa Maria de Virgin De Guadalupe.

Birthing Room of the Virgin Mary – Dec. 12, 2013
Last night I dreamt of seeing the Virgin Mary. She was showing me her birthing room, that was a small space carved out of 3 earthen walls, with the fourth wall absent and open to the waters of the grotto. She was preparing to birth the child she was carrying, whom she had just conceived. She also told me she would give birth to 4 children and would be staying here in the birthing room until she had conceived and given birth to all 4 children.

I feel deep gratitude for my connection to the Goddess, in all her forms and her guidance in dreams and waking life, guiding toward healing, protection and birthing new life.

The Fruit of the Pomegranate Tree

Oh Persephone!

You came in my dream

and showed me,

The pomegranate seed.

You said,

“If you never open the pomegranate,

you can never plant the seed,

And the tree will never grow.”

Well, you opened that fruit,

and planted that seed.

The tree grew tall and strong,

fully grown, before my eyes,

like magic.

You opened me,

as you did the fruit.

You planted that seed inside.

I have grown worthy

of becoming a tree.

I have much to offer,

from the land of the dead.

The seed of the goddess

is planted in the deep, dark earth.

I reach up toward the light,

as my branches stretch,

strong, tall and beautiful.

I can hold the weight,

of the abundant,

juicy, fruit of the ages.

Ready to be picked,

and broken open to feed the soul.

I can lead others

into the dark,

into the mystery of becoming,

where the richest fruit,

and most magical trees grow.

The Spiritual Mountaintop

Standing on the Spiritual Mountain June 5, 2012

I dreamt of seeing myself on a Spiritual Mountaintop, where I am a Giant among others who are present with me. I am the only Goddess among a group of several other Gods. We are all Giant in appearance and embody the presence of a God or Goddess in this spiritual terrain. From the heights of the etheric spiritual mountain, one could gaze down below to see the physical mountain.  A spiritual pilgrim throws his rope up onto the mountain peak where we stand, and suddenly everyone has the instinct to hide and not be seen. Everyone except me, ducks for cover. I stand in full view, the only one willing to risk being seen. The lone figure emerges from the side of the mountain and he is elated to have reached his destination. He stands looking back at me confused to be met by the presence of a Giant Goddess.  All the other Gods are hiding from him and the pilgrim does not know they are there. The Gods believe they cannot be seen, because he is not yet ready. I don’t agree with this perspective and stand in full view, ready to meet this spiritual pilgrim.  I  look into his eyes and see his confusion and realize, he is not yet ready to receive the wisdom he is seeking. I gaze back at him with loving compassion. He has gotten what he came looking for, but it was not what he expected. EOD.

In this dream I am experiencing my larger self, among others there with me. I experience this differently than my male counterparts who seem afraid to be seen as gods in the presence of the ascent of a seeker. I feel that religious perspective often describes this perspective, that a mere mortal cannot withstand the presence of the god/goddess. This etheric realm of the higher self is where the lower self seeks to come in contact with the higher nature of our own divine being. It is not separate from us, but a part of our true nature. The actual physical mountain top can be seen from just below this etheric realm, and it is something we have access to discovering for ourselves. It seems not only is mortal man perhaps afraid of being in the presence of god, yet compelled to climb forth as a seeker, but in my dream the gods themselves were afraid of connecting with their lower nature. Is it because if these two realms came together, we would be exposed as humans capable of becoming the gods we seek yet truly are?  Would we be afraid that others would not understand and seek to persecute us for arriving on this spiritual landscape?  In my dream, I felt the experience of being exposed, yet I was not afraid. It seemed only natural to greet this pilgrim on his journey toward reaching the spiritual mountaintop. When arriving on this terrain, it is the descent which takes the most courage, both for the seeker and for our higher self.

Perhaps it is time for the Patriarchal Gods to duck and cover, this is something the Goddess has been doing for a very long time. Perhaps it is time for the Goddess to be seen in full view in all her power for what she is, much to the confusion of modern man.

Compassion is the way down from the spiritual mountaintop, and being willing to receive those who come before us with love and compassion is the road ahead.

Valley of the Giants

Becoming my Larger Self  June 2012

I dream of growing into a Giant being. I begin from my natural appearance and then grow into a very large version of myself.  Over and over again, I am growing larger and becoming giant. There is now, more than one of me.  I am aware inside of the dream of this transformation taking place, and my thought is, “It’s happening! I am becoming my larger self.”

I am deeply afraid of what is happening and at the same time, I know it is inevitable. My little self, lucid awareness, begins to try to control the dream and stop from growing so big, but soon I realize it is no use, there is nothing I can do to alter what is now happening. I even try to forget about it inside the dream, actually telling myself,” I won’t remember this dream in the morning, no need to worry!” (wrong) Finally, I try self deception and doubt, and tell myself this is not really happening. My larger reality however, overcomes the fears and doubts of the little lucid self in the dream.  I finally have to accept the truth of what the dream is presenting, and realize I AM becoming my larger self and growing into a larger being, on the scale of a goddess. EOD

What does it mean to become the larger self in affinity with a Goddess as big as a mountain? In one respect, it means the limits and constrictions of the little self can no longer control, nor hold the larger sphere of the soul and spirit which now reaches out to connect with the everyday world. This seems to hold a place of great fear, to be viewed on the same plane as a Goddess, and not seem like an egomaniac. The dream showed however, there is no stopping this transformation taking place anymore than one could change a butterfly back into a caterpillar.

I had a deep sense of knowing within the dream that this space of transformation was always available to me and that it would eventually come my way someday. It was as if remembering some long forgotten promise, that was finally coming true. Another part of this dream for me, is that it was not a singular event which resulted in this transformation, it seemed to be a process of learning how to shift into becoming my larger self, and indeed practicing becoming giant, over and over. Beyond that, I had the sense this replication of the larger self was perhaps creating these larger shifts of perception and being into other realms and dimensions.

Action Plan- Recall the larger self in waking reality, when I find I am struggling with fears and doubts.

Dream Re-Entry to get to know and explore the dream of the larger self.

My one liner from this dream is “Living the Larger Self!”

The Fruit of the Pomegranate Tree

Pomegranate Tree

I wrote a previous blog post, about Persephone and her journey into the underworld. It was inspired both by the Winter Solstice, and a dream I had of a visit from Persephone herself. I wrote the following poem in honor of the dream. Happy Winter Solstice!

Persephone and Opening the Pomegranate

In a dream from just the other night, I encountered the Goddess Persephone. She offered me a Pomegranate which she held in her hands and told me.  “If you never open the Pomegranate you can not plant the seed and the tree will never grow.” She then took a single seed from the open Pomegranate and planted it from which a beautiful tree grew tall, full and strong like magic. EOD

This dream is rich with meaning and nourishment as is the Pomegranate. In this time of the year as we edge toward the winter solstice and the turning of the wheel from the harvest of Autumn to the cold dark days of Winter, it is the season when Persephone makes her journey into the darkness of the underworld. She will make her ascent and return during the season of spring when all things come to life and begin to grow once again.

During the season of Winter and the descent into the darkness of the underworld, there are opportunities for growth to come from within.  This call from Persephone to break open the hard shell which surrounds the deep juicy fruits inside is a kind of death of the protective hard shell and an opening of the heart and soul.    The seeds planted will grow to provide more fruits and opportunities for growth, as well as a path to travel in dreams toward the upper realms.

The Return of Persephone by Frederic Leighton

In the Myth of Persephone’s abduction by Hade’s into the underworld her Mother Demeter, Goddess of the  Harvest, is devastated by the loss of her maiden daughter. She searches the earth for her daughter and becomes forlorn by her loss and refuses to bring the sun to grow anything upon the earth. Finally, her father Zeus is persuaded to bring his daughter back from the depths of the underworld where she sits as queen alongside Hades over the souls of the dead.

Zeus sends Hermes to go and bring her back but before he is able to do so Persephone eats the seeds of the pomegranate and is destined by the fates to stay in the underworld.  Hermes manages to negotiate a time settlement where she is able to serve part of her time on earth but must return for a portion of the time to reign as queen of the underworld alongside Hades. It is agreed, and Hermes returns her to her awaiting mother goddess Demeter, bringing the return of spring and the end of winter.

“Eclipsed Moon” photo credit Martin Pugh

The Winter Solstice honors the descent into the longest  night of the year and celebrates the hope of renewal and the return of the Sun as is portrayed in the myth of Persephone.  This year the Winter Solstice will shine under the light of the full moon and also be brought in with a lunar eclipse that will at its apex appear like a giant pomegranate in the sky.  In the spirit of Persephone, I honor this time of year with remembering loved ones who have passed into the realm of  the underworld where Persephone sits as Queen.  I will celebrate the hope of the return of the light, just as Hermes served as guide to Persephone to help her return to bring about the season of planting seeds.  Before the return though, the winter season of breaking open is upon us , an opening to bring about change and transformation and growth.  May your Winter Solstice be juicy and heartfelt!
